We descended / climbed / descended through Viliano and Casellina to the road to Pratolino. Down from there on Via Bolognese, then back to the shop. Great client and a strong rider. Thanks, Dave.
I was home, showered, packed, and off to the bus in an hour, then Emily and I were waiting for a late train, 30 minute in ritardo, and ended up taking a different train to Forte dei Marmi. We were there at a good time anyway. Kate and the kids picked us up and we were off to their place for July. It is a very nice apartment with 2 bedrooms that works for us to stay overnight. Emily is doing babysitting Tuesdays and Thursdays for the month, so it needs to work to stay. If I do not have clients, I will be doing 3 days a week up there with them all. We got unpacked, and were off to the beach for a late afternoon swim and cocktails at Bagno Giovanni, the beach club they join for the month. Nicco went to the same beach club as a child, and they know most everyone there, so it is fun. More later. Ciao.
Day 2 with Dave R in the close in Mugello hills. by ridingwithcosimo at Garmin Connect - Details
Over the head, behind me photo of Dave on the start of the
climb through Vincigliata. You would think I could get these
level with practice, but I kind of like them like this.
I do try to get it level, but with little success.
One of the many switchbacks on the Vincigliata climb.
Dave had dinner with his group at this castle, Castello Vincigliata
a couple of nights before this ride. Cool!
Dave climbing toward Bivigliano.
By the end of the day, I was having an Aperol Spritz at Bagno
Giovanni in Forte dei Marmi with Emily, Kate, and family.
