Richard, who will be riding with me for 8 days came early and was here today around 10 at the train station. We met him, got him home and set up, then went to the shop to get his rental bike. All was good and he is set with a bike for 8 days. Art will arrive Saturday evening, and we will all ride together starting Sunday. Today, Richard asked for a 2 to 2-1/2 hour ride, and I delivered. We went out through Ponte a Ema, then up to Osteria Nuova on Via Carota, then up to San Donato in Collina where we got water and started the descent. We turned off in Cellai, climbed the steep, short hill, then enjoyed the up and down road over to Bombone. From Bombone, we went over then down to Rosano, the back on the south side of the Arno. I found the turn off that a team member had shown me before and enjoyed the back way into town, then home. Nice ride today and great fun to have Richard here to ride. Ciao.
